Gosh two phone calls in one week, what a great week this is, Michelle said they made it to their destination without incident which is a miracle in it's self. They will now have a few days off until they have to head back. I hope they get a chance to do something to relieve some of the stress they have been under. I know she planned on trying to see some of the historical sites. She is amazed at how many biblical sites you can see over there.
She didn't get to talk to her dad because he is on and all male "fishing trip" in Wisconsin. Hopefully he will enjoy himself. Just hope he stays in good enough shape to make it home safely,( you know how guys are when they go fishing), he will be gone for a whole week. The only thing he will really miss,(besides me), are the phone calls from Michelle. I will have to call him and let hime know all about them.
Michelle and April's birthday are both on Monday so go to their sites, aprilshah.blogspot.com and mepajfiraq.blogspot.com. Michelle will be the big 21 and April will be 23, see girls what happens when you tell evrybody your mom's age, shee gets even. Make sure you wish the a Happy Birthday on Monday.

Got a phone call from Michelle this morning( around 3 am), she talked to me and her dad for about an hour. It was really great to talk to her and hear how she seems to be more and more like her old self. We had a really good talk and she is very busy and trying to get things ready to come home in about a month and a half(gosh I have been waiting to say that). She also told us that she received a purple heart yesterday at a ceremony at camp and a few other medals that I can't remember the names to. I am so proud of her, I could bust!!!!!! We talked about how hard it was to get those medals and remember the reason she received those and how she would rather just have Gavin back, but I think she really is doing much better with the memories. Even though she said she felt very weird hanging around with the generals and colonels. I just thought you all would like to know that we have heard from her and that she is doing well and enjoying being back on the road. Even though things are not any better over there, she at least feels she is doing her part once again. I am really very proud of her and all our soldiers for the sacrifices they and their families are making every day.

Hey, what a great day!!!!!!! I got to im Michelle today we imed for about a half hour or so. She had some news she is moving to a new camp even though she only has 45 days left and yes this camp is not a good place to go. Pray that she will stay safe, especially since she has so little time left. She sounded really tired and kind of upset about the move. They also had another incident on the road that really turned out bad for the truck behind her so we will need to pray for the soldiers who were in that truck( not much info). I just can't believe that after all she has been through and the little time they have left the move will be to a more dangerous area.
I really do know God is watching over them all, but as humans we tend to not be able to let go and let God. I will have to pray more for that everyday. Please pray with me for all our soldiers for things are not getting better and they need our support more than ever.

Today I am going to have lunch with my daughter, April, this is for my birthday. I am also hoping that today I will have some of my pctures from vacation on here, for you all to see. I will write more later.

So much is happening around the world that it is hard to think that my concerns seem so trivial.
I don't know what it is but I seem to be missing Michelle more and more everyday, it seems so weird since she only has less than 50 days left, but I seem to get weepy anymore when I think about her. I think this comes from knowing it is so close until she gets home but yet still so far. I guess I need to lean on the Lord more and more everyday. I know that we are all in this together and that really helps. I guess I am just getting older and more sentimental as time goes by. Thanks for listening.

Got a call from Michelle this morning at 2:15 a.m. Wow that was great and to think that I was just asking God for her to call, I am so glad He answers prayers. She talked to me for about 30 minutes and seemed to be back to her old self. We had a great time and we even laughed quite a bit, which it seems to have been a long time since we have done a lot of that. She is glad to be back on the road, even though this scares us to death, but we will continue to pray for her and support 1,000% and I tell her this every time she calls or emails us. She even had a story about how they got lost in the desert for 5 hours, I guess all sand looks a like.

I just thought I would blog and let you know that she called and to continue to pray for her and us now that she is back on the road and only has less than 50 days left til she comes home.

Things have been so hectic since vacation, I haven't had any free time just trying to catch up on the home stuff. I was really glad to see Michelle finally posted something on her blog site, we hadn't heard from her in quite a while and you mothers out there know how that can really get to you. She says she is just really busy, thank God. I am still trying to get my pictures from vaca posted so hopefully that will be sometime this week.

I am going camping this weekend so I will not post too much this week. I will have even more to post after this weekend. I keep all of you that I have visited your sites in my prayers always.

Hey everybody! I am back from vacation, what a great time we had,(and yes we both survived), the up of michigan was great and very relaxing. We actually got home on Wednesday night, but have had too much to do so I had to wait to blog.
My birthday and anniversary were both really nice and thanks to everyone for the great wishes, I will have more stories to tell in the days to come but I just wanted to let everyone know I am back.
Gosh now I have something to blog.
