Tomorrow is officially Memorial Day and today I went to church and learned somethings about that observance that I didn't know. It seems that the observance of this day has declined in the last few years, actually since 1971, I think that is a disgrace and the men and women who died in the line of duty to this country would be absolutely horrified to discover that they have been so soon forgotten. I also learned that at 3:00 PM where ever you are you are supposed to observe a moment of silence. I hope you will remember to do this tomorrow, it is such a small price to pay for all the freedoms we have in this country. I hope this Memorial Day will see an increase of the observance of the true meaning of this day. To honor those who have fallen while fighting for our freedom and to maybe take time to salute those who still are fighting for that freedom today.

I am taking time this Memorial Day Weekend to say a special thank you to all of our soldiers who are still in I raq fighting for our freedom. I pray everyday for there safe return. Not just for the ones we know but even the ones we have never heard of and probably will never know.
I also want to say a special thank you to two people who started me on this journey, my daughter Michelle, who returned from Iraq in November, I am so proud of you everyday, I see the changes you have gone through and how they have made you grow and mature. I know this past year has been rough on you and in some ways being home has even been more difficult, but you have handled everything with great grace and dignity.
I also want to remember Gavin Colburn for without his sacrifice I truly believe Michelle would not be here. We love you and miss you terribly and we will never, never forget you and all that you have done not just for us, but for all of America. I pray someday we will see you again and get to tell you how much you mean to us.
I hope that we all take time, especially this Memorial Day to take time to say a prayer for all our troops and their families.

God Bless America!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Gosh it has been a long time since I have psoted,SORRY!!!!! I finally have no more job, but that does not meant that things have slowed down here any. I have been trying to catch up on the things I neglected when I was working. I have gotten most of the things around the house done, I am now iinto planting up my flower pots,(about 200 at last count) I know it sounds like a lot but I really enjoy doing them every year, and every year they get more and more.

The family is doing great. The grandkids are getting bigger and cuter everyday. The oldest one still knows she is maws' favorite, just ask her. Michelle has a job interview this afternoon, so pray she gets this job, you know how tight money can get when only one of you has a job and you have a new baby. Amber the oldest daughter is also looking for a part time job, something so money won't be so tight. April is doing good, her court date is June 7th. I will be going with her for moral support and to make sure everybody plays fair.

And here are the pictures form Mexico I promised: This is our hotel and one of the pools. And also some pictures of the view from the hotel:

Everything, was just so gorgeous! The weather was perfect and we had a great time. The hotel had 1600 guest rooms and like 6 0r 8 bars that only closed for 2 hours a day. The restaurants weren't all that good, but when you are trying to feed that many people on a daily basis, it wasn't all that bad. The staff was really great and they saw to your every need. I even had a spa day, my very first one ever. I had a facial, which was a little weird to begin with, but then I relaxed and enjoyed it immensely.

I know this post is kind of long and a little late in the typing but, I can finely say that I am back and will try to be more faithful about my blogging. And by the way even though I haven't been blogging I have tried to keep up with all of your blogs. Which by the way I will stop blogging here and check out everybody else's site.

Have great day!!!!!!!!!!
